So, like many different we are concerning the German legislation. We would have gladly a child, can it however not on the ways legal in Germany create.

We now already tried it for 4.5 years unsuccessfully. We, this is my wife Ines (42 years) and I Christoph (31 years).

The problem is that the ovaries do not react correctly any longer. Therefore we have the full program through. We began with the stimulation of the ovaries and daily temperature measurement. That did not function unfortunately. Thus actually nevertheless once, but the child unfortunately lost Ines in the 7.SSW. This it continued to go then with Insemination, but that was unfortunately also a miss. Since Ines already was over 40 years, we could not make also so easily IVF. Therefore we had to place only times a request for assumption of the costs with the health insurance company. This passed the request on to the medical service of the health insurance companies. This requested then each quantity of documents of our gynecologists and Ines had still some investigations over itself be issued to let. Fortunately we had a very understanding specialist to sit, who supported us in the time much with the health insurance company. Then finally the releasing message, the health insurance company gave us 2 IVF attempts. Draw a deep breath this at least only times a little. Then the  cycle went loosely. Unfortunately it was however several times broken off, since in each case or two follicles matured. We decided sometime then nevertheless to let the Punktion make with a follicle. The result was unfortunately negatively, empty.

There upon the physician said to us that it does not have a sense, we would have to stop. There we look ourselves for another Clinic. We landed this time in Essen. Preliminary talks were not quite so tingling, but larger hope. This times again squirt. In the 1. Cycle had Ines 20 days long 3 ampuls Gonal F to squirt, result 1 follicle, this times again break off, then in the next month gave it only to tablets, each day Clomid. To get in addition, here nothing. With a telephone call with the lady doctor this that it has no more sense and we would have to stop,she said she could do nothing more for us.. She send us documents over adoption.

Since we want to have however absolutely a child, our child, we wrote physicians down in Germany. We decided us then for a IVF-Clinic in Goettingen. Here one made actually still more hope for us, where upon we trusted. Now again everything did not go from the front loosely, only times squirting, then ultrasonic, then again to squirt, then the disillusionment again abort and the statement it has a sense, we must stop.

There one stands then only times before a heap of rubble, as continues it. If one gives up, one continues elsewhere, what one can still make. We decided then very quickly for the Egg Donation.

Since we determined, how heavy it is, information about the Egg Donation to get, we decided to provide a Website over our experiences. In next time we want to present still different clinics, which accomplish Egg Donation.

We wrote 85 clinics down because of Egg Donation, we had unfortunately not so many reply. Then we decided for 3 clinics. Following the experience reports of preliminary talks in the different clinics.

Out and past!!!

Ines has to begun to bleed with cramps, the cycle is thereby past. We will start over again. We do not give up!!!!!!!

We had again a discussion with Dr. Bourek, here went it around a medicine conversion. Ines must take Dermestril patches as well as Estrifam, Utrogest and Dexamethason now. However we make only a Mock cycle, in order to see, how she reacts to the medicines. If everything runs correctly, then we can start in September or Octobers with the 3. Attempt in Brno.
Occasionally we changed our family doctor, whom we have now, put somewhat to more the emphasis on natural cures. He offers also medicine decontaminations, which we wanted to make actually before, but he told us to do this after the 3. Attempt.
Ines takes the Estrifam for the moment daily and every 4 days two patches of Dermestril 50. The patches put this time on the shoulders, however it does not stick so well. Therefore we must again stick patches with Leukoplast. She says that she sometimes feels how the medicine draws into her body. On 24. August must we then to the u-sound and starting from Sunday Ines takes then daily still 3 x 2 tablets Utrogest.
The ultrasound was successful, the mucous membrane was between 8 and 9 mm thick, it was a so called three liner. Now oppose the transfer from our side nothing more. If Dr. Bourek comes next week from the vacation, we will take up again contact with him immediately.
Ines has to begun on 07. October with the stimulation. She must take every  4.day a patch Dermestril 100 and each morning a Tabl. Ticlid (Ticlid is similar as ASS a Thrombozytenaggregationshemmer). In the evening she must take a Tabl. Estrifam and Dexamethason. Although Ines bleeds still easily, she is to take the medicines, which will stop the bleeding, so the statement of Dr. Bourek. The bleeding did not stop also less however completely it nevertheless, it was like a quite easy after-bled. After a renewed consultation Ines should stop with the Ticlid, which further-takes other medicines however quite normally. Yesterday (17.10.2001) Dr. Bourek communicated to us the fact that the guidance follicle of the Donor has a size of 10mm and that the Punktion in 4 - 5 days takes place. The transfer will be probably then in the middle or end of next week. This morning we were with our gynecologist to the ultrasound. The mucous membranemucous membrane mucous membrane was 8 mm (at the 11. Day after beginning of the stimulation).
On 27.10.2001 we start again to Bruenn. At noon we had directly a date with Dr. Bourek. Ines mucous membrane was between 7 and 8 mm. He showed us thereby also the " channel ", by which het introduces the catheter. In addition he told us that he has 4 DE for us, that also all were fertilized, however needed it still something time, so that the transfer is planned for Tuesday or Wednesday. Ines got still another patch Estraderm 50. So long we had thus time, in order to divert us in Bruenn. Monday evening we called him, and he told us that the DE divided well, he would like to make the transfer on Wednesday, because one DE should be hatched. We arranged ourselves then for Wednesday evening to the transfer. On Wednesday he told us that 2 Blastozyten are nearly completely hatcht, the 2 others was not so far yet. We were allowed to look at ourselves the Blastozyten again under the microscope. The following transfer ran completely without complications. Ines had to lie afterwards still approx. 1 hour. She should take until Monday daily a Tabl. Dexamethason and daily 3 x 2 Tabl. Utrogest as well as a half Tabl. Estrifam.
In 14 days then the SST is, up to then waits we then quite strained.

Today, 18th November 2001 we made the pregnancy test, he was negative againt. We are now already quite destroyed at the soil. But nevertheless we continue, we will only then stop if we have our own child.

DE - Cycle No. 4

We called Dr. Bourek, and he told us, to make a break.But we wouldn´t break, we want start with the next cycle. So we contact Dr. Valky, from Iscare in Bratislava, Slovakia. Soon we had an appointment for a talk with him. He told us, that his waiting time is about 2 - 3 months. He gives us a questionaire, on which we can mark points, for the egg donor, like education and so on.
Ines starts in the beginning of March with the medications. She should increase all 5 days the Estrifasm Tabletts. First one per day and then increase to 3 Tabletts. In he same time Ines get acupuncture. So we told with the doc and he make a few needles more for the uterus. The result was senstionell, she had on day 13 an endometrium between 13 and 14 mm. Our Gyn told us, that the embryos only had to fall into the endometrium. Now it was time for transfer. Dr. Valky has 3 embryos for us (1 x 7-cell, 1 x 6-cell and 1 x -cell). Ines endometrium was examed again, nothing changed since the last ultrasound. The only negative thing was, that he had to make ICSI. Ines ha togo to another room and was prepared for the transfer. Dr. Valky made the transfer with ultrasound-control. It was a great moment, when you see the transfer of the embryo on the ultrasound. After the transfer i had to go away from her, she cames in another room, where she must rest for one hour. She feels much better like the other transfers.
Now we had to wait for the pregnancy test. It was a strange time, you feel happy, that all goes right, but a little angry is there also, that the transfer fails. This time the pregnancy test was negative again. But we didn´t stop, we make another DE-cycle.

DE - Cycle No. 5

We told this time again with our Doc about acupuncture, he shows us the points and give us a few needles. Now we start in the beginning of May twice a week with acupuncture for the endometrium. We found a study on IVF-patients. They get acupuncture directls befor and after the transfer. Our Doc showed us this points again and so i can make acupuncture on Ines. We told also with Dr. Valky about acupuncture, but he didn´t belive in this, but if we want, we can make this. Dr. Valky startes a study, he gives the patients growing hormones in the stimulation. Perhaps we can also participate in this study. The only thing is the price of the medicament, it is very expensive.
The transfer will be in August or September.
Ines starts on day 6 of her cycle with Estrifam, the same protocoll like the first time. Dr Valky comes back from his holiday on the 4th September. We give him a call and one week later the transfer should be. But how ever, there was something, what should not be. On 4th September in the evening Ines starts bleeding, we immediately call Dr. Valky but he does know, why Ines is bleeding, he told us, that the bleeding should end. Ines should stop taking Estrifam for one day and start on Friday normal with Estrifam again. But the bleeding didn´t stop, she becomes much heavier, so Ines must go to the hosiptal. The Doc examinated Ines and give her a medication which should close the uterus. The bleeding stops and Ines can leave the next day the clinic. Now this cycle was gone. Now we hast to wait until  her next period starts.

After one waiting cycle, Ines starts again with the medication and stimulation of the endometrium. At the ultrasound on day 12 the endometrium was 9 mm, but there was a little liquid in the uterus. Our Gyn called to Dr. Valky. If the liquid doesn´t go away, we had to cancel this cycle again. But on the next ultrasound the liquid was away and the endometrium was 9mm again. Now we drove on Sunday to Brno and on Monday to Bratislava, where Chris must give his sperm. Now we had to wait until wednesday for transfer. On Thuesday we meet a filmteam, they made a film about DE. We had a good evening. Wednesday w start with the filmteam to Bratislava. On the way to Bratislava, they interviewed us. When we comes to the clinic, Dr. Valky say Hello to us and Ines wants immediately prepared for the transfer. I make the acupuncture for Ines. After this, Ines gets two embryos in the 4-cell-stadium. Ines must rest for 2 hours, and after this,we drove back to Brno.

3 weeks later, Ines made the pregnancy test, negative. We spoke with Dr. Valky, that here Gyn examinated Ines again. But the result was always negative. But we don´t give up, we start a new cycle.

Cycle No. 6

This time wehad some difficulties for the preparation of the next cycle. We contacted Dr. Wiswedel from the Cape Fertility Clinic in CapeTown. He told us, that it is not normal, that Ines had 5 cycles and wasn´t pregnant. He told us, that Ines should make a few examinations. This should be a byopsie, a hysteroscopy and several blood tests. For this examinations we´ve written to few big clinics in Gemany. We wants to know from them, if they can make this examinations. Some of them wants to make this examinations, but the need a letter from our Insurance. But w didn´t get this letter, because DE is not allowed in Germany, and so the Insurancedidn´t pay this examinations. A few examinations our normal  Doc has done, some wepayed by ourselves. Result of this examinations was, that Ines had a Hyperinsulinism, for which she gets medications, this could be a reason for the failed transfers.
This time, we wants to go to South Africa. Ines starts on the 13 th of March with Synarela. Normally she must get their period on the 20th of March and on the 31th March we wants to fly to capeTown. We stay then 14 days in CapeTown. Dr. Wiswedel told us, that we only had to stay for 8 - 10 days, but we wants to make a little bit holiday there.

Because of Synarela didn´t get her period on the 20th of March, so we fly now on the 08th of April and stay there for 3 weeks. As we arrived in Cape Town, Dr. Wiswedel picked us up on the airport. On this day Ines had to make blood examinations, she was examinated for NK-Cells in blood. The result was positiv, so Ines must take Cortison. 
The transfer will be on the 14th April. At the day of the transfer Dr. Wiswedel came into the patients room and told us, that we had a problem. He told us, that he picked up 9 oocytes from the donor and now we have 5 blastocysts. Ines told hom to transfer 3 blastocysts and to freeze the other 2. After transfer Dr. Wiswedel gave us a chance of 50%. Ines had to rest for 4 hours after transfer.
During the waiting time, we make a few tours to Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope. Then the day of the pregnancy test has come. In the morning Ines must give blood, in the time till the result is there, we gone shopping. When we came back to the clinic, the result from the test was negative.

Dr. Wiswedel comes immediatley to us and told with us, we are looking to find a reason for this result. We don´t know, what we should do, because all the things looked so positive befor. Two days later we should another blood test, but he also was negative. Dr. Wiswedel wants now make a hysteroscopie, he wants to examinate Ines Uterus, if there is a problem. We can´t make this examination befr transfer, because we had to stay 4 weeks longer in Cape Town.
On the day of the examination, Ines had to go to the hospital. Dr Wiswedel found several scare tissues in the uterus. The most of them he cuts away. Ths scare tissue couldbe another reason for the failed transfers.
Befor the next caclehe wants to make again a hysteroscopie, he wants to see, if allthe scare tissues are away. If yes, then we can make the next transfer, and if not, he will cut them away and then wacan also make the transfer. But for this we must stay  for 4 weeks in CapeTown,because we had to come a few days befor the strat of Ines period, for doing the examination.

Cycle No. 7

Now we can start with the next cycle. When we arrived in CapeTown, the first way leads us to Dr. Wiswedel to talk about the procedure for the next transfer.

Ines can start with the stimulation of her endometrium. On day 2 of he cycle she had to start with Estrifam 2mg, 3 days later 4mg and then 8 mg per day. The first Ultrasound shows an endometrium of 7,5 mm ion day 7, this was fine. the next ultrasound on day 9 shows an endometrium of 8,5 mm. Ines blood was examined again for her Hyperinsslism and she had to take more of Metformin. Doc. Wiswedel picked up14 oocytes from our donor on friday. On Monday we will know, how much of them starts growing. Also Ines must give blood on monday for progesterone. If the progesterone is to low, she must change from Utrogestan to Gestone-Shots. On wednesday is then the day of transfer.
Ines must start taking Gestone-Shots, it´s better for here, then Utrogestan.
On Tuesday, we must immediately come to the clinic, because our embryos grow faster, so we had the transfer on Tuesday. Dr. Wiswedel transferred 5 Blastocysts.
Now it´s time to wait for the pregnancy test. A few days later we fly back to Germany.
Ines made a urin-test, the result was negative, the blood test shows the same result. Dr. Wiswedel told us, to take the medications 2 days longer and then make a new test. But the result was the same.

Befor we start Cycle Nr. 8, we wants to make a few more examinations. We want to check the immunology from Ines and Chris and perhaps a genetic test from Chris sperm.
