PRIVATEEgg Donation Pricing - Traditional fee for service pricing plan |
|
|
PRIVATEOur current charge for a complete egg donation cycle OEP is 5,000 euro. Preliminary tests for introducing the couple in OEP require additional fees of 200 euro. The OEP fee includes a fee for our center, a donor matching fee and donor's fee for controlled hyperstimulation induction. All the women prepared for donors in this program are patients with indications for ICSI (because the male infertility) or IVF. All retrieved oocytes will be devised in two groups – one for the recipient and one for the donor in order to obtain pregnancy in both groups. Good quality oocytes (3 and more) are guaranitied for the recipient. Medications are obtained from a pharmacy and are also included. Medications usually cost about 1500-2000 euro for the donor and 200 euro for the recipient. The rest of this fee will be used for the clinical and biological part of the treatment (egg retrieval, fertilization of oocytes by IVF, ICSI, selection of embryos and embryo transfer in utero etc.), cancellation of non-perspective women, hospital fees, ultrasounds examinations etc. All couples must pay in advance 50% from the OEP’ fee by bank transfer and the rest of 50% on the day of sperm sample collection. Credit cards or cash are available ways of payment. Sperm or embryo freezing requires additional fees, if desired. Some donors require higher doses of medications (increasing the cost) to stimulate sufficient egg production. This wouldn’t affect the recipient couple fees. |

Indications for OEP:
· recipient could be married or single women
· malfunction of the reproductive organs,
· chromosomal abnormalities, genetic disorders
· removal of the ovaries or radiation to the ovaries.
· premature ovarian failure (menopause)
· Very poor egg quality
· Poor response to ovarian stimulation
· Significantly elevated day 3 follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) level
· Donor ovum IVF is generally used only in women with significantly diminished egg quality (poor ovarian reserve)
· Pregnancy rates with egg donation are high, particularly as compared to pregnancy rates in women with poor egg quality and quantity
· Advanced female age, such as over about 39-40
How is egg donation performed?
1. An appropriate egg donor is chosen by our Medical Center and thoroughly
screened for infectious diseases and genetically transmissible conditions.
2. Consents are signed by all parties.
3. The donor is stimulated with injected medications to develop multiple egg development. This allows us to perform in vitro fertilization with her eggs and the sperm of the infertile woman's male partner.
4. The infertile woman (recipient) is placed on medications that suppress her own menstrual cycle and stimulate development of a receptive uterine lining.
5. All procedures are totally confidential and no photographs or meeting are acceptable between egg donor and egg recipient.
Who may donate?
· Prospective Egg Donors should between 20 and 32 years old, educated and healthy.
· Women who have had a tubal sterilization operation are also eligible, as are those who have an IUCD (Intrauterine contraceptive device) in place.
· Donors must be negative for infection diseases: HIV, HbsAg, VDRL, Hepatitis A,B,C, Chlamidia IgG, IgM. Genetic screening for chromozomal abnormalities, medical history, social history, family history, psychological evaluation, intelligence test results (IQ), hormonal evaluation etc. are also required.
Who will know?
·
Anonymous Donors
(from white caucasian bulgarian origine)
Many women opt to
undergo the egg donation process as anonymous donors. They donate eggs to an
infertile woman or couple whose identity also remains anonymous. Anonymous
donors are matched as closely as possible to the criteria specified by the
prospective parent.
How does it work?
Donor Application & Screening
· To start the process, the potential egg donor completes a medical history form and genetic questionnaire. The donor must have psychological screening and blood tests for sexually transmitted and genetic diseases.
·
Treatment Cycle
As in In Vitro Fertilization, the physician prescribes hormonal therapy to
stimulate the donor's ovaries to produce multiple eggs. The physician monitors
progress through blood tests and vaginal ultrasounds. The entire cycle is less
than 14-15 days.
·
Retrieval Process
This non-surgical procedure is performed using general sedation. The entire egg
retrieval takes less than 30 min.
·
Fertilization and
Transfer
After the egg retrieval, the embryologist fertilizes the donated eggs in the
laboratory with sperm from the egg recipient’s partner or donor sperm. The
resulting embryos are incubated for three to five days and then transferred to
the uterus of the recipient.
Way of payment: 50% before starting the stimulation on appropriate donor eggs and 50% before the embryo transfer procedure takes place.
